TRANSFORMER FAN CONTROL PANELS
The main source of heat production in a transformer is copper loss (I²R loss). Although hysteresis and eddy currents contribute to the heating of the transformer, the copper loss is much higher compared to these losses. If the heat generated in the transformer is not distributed properly, the temperature of the transformer will continuously increase, leading to damage to the paper and liquid insulation. In electrical power transformers, an external cooling system is used to increase the rate of heat dissipation. Faults in these systems can affect the entire transformer system and may cause the windings to burn.
There are different cooling methods for transformers, depending on factors such as the size of the transformer, its design, and the location of use. Dry-type transformers have two cooling methods: natural air-cooled and forced air-cooled. In addition, cooling systems for oil-filled transformers are more numerous and complex compared to dry-type transformers.
As Epm Otomasyon, we manufacture fan control panels for both dry-type and oil-filled transformers according to customer requirements
